We bid farewell to Melba Jean Hayes (Moore, Oklahoma), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 5, 2025 at the age of 96. Melba Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Dempsey; her sons, Ron McCubbin and Jack "Larry" Hayes; her grandchildren, Ryan McCubbin and Jennifer Myers; and her parents, Fern O'Neal and John O'Neal.
She is survived by: her daughters, Illa Fuller (Raymond), Terry Rowden (Curtiss), Janis Myers (Russell) and Kathy McNellan; and her daughters-in-law, Angela Hayes and Cindy McCubbin. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel (120 S Broadway Ave, Moore, OK 73160). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lynlee Mae Chapel (507 E Main St, Moore, OK 73160).
