As we bid adieu to Denise's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Denise has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Q. Gates Jr. and Jean Gates (Owens); and her sister Aleshia Regina Gates. She is survived by: her daughter Alexandria Obinegbo of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her friend Chidi Obinegbo; and her sister Lani Teague (Smith). She is also survived by her family, friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the House of Winn Funeral Home & Cremations "precious Memories Chapel" (2200 Military Blvd, Muskogee, OK 74401).
