He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hollis Smith and Mary Smith (Fellerton); his wife Pat Smith (Holder); his daughter Sherrill Mankin (Jeff); his stepchildren, Gail Fite (Denny), Earl Stowe, Ronnie Joe Stowe (Angela), Ray Stowe and Leonard Stowe; and his sisters, Roseleen Archer (Ronnie) and Betty Lemon (David). He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
