He was predeceased by: his parents, Arville Strickland and Cheevie Strickland; his brother B. W. Strickland; his son Robert Lee Strickland; and his grandson Kyle Garcia.
He is survived by: his children, Toney Strickland, Gary Strickland, Tamatha Naquin, Tammy Taylor, Robbie Jo Strickland, Paula Strickland, April Garcia and Misty Strickland. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
