She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Kuykendall and Mollie Kuykendall (Wright); her husband Quartermain Briggs; her grandson Daman Briggs; her sisters, Louise Maddox, Orene Jeffcoat Hamman and Marie Scarberry; and her son Rickie Briggs.
She is survived by: her son Michael Briggs (Sandra); her siblings, Wayne Kuykendall (Pat) and Zelma Briggs (Decima); and her grandchildren, Tonia Bray (John), Christy Robbins (Chris), Shalynn Morales (Hector), Melissa Hutson, Andrea Wilson, Cathy Briggs and Quartermain Briggs. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
