He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dalton and Dorthea Juanita Whitsitt (Dickerson); his son Chris Whitsitt; and his siblings, William Whitsitt and Jan Hunter.
He is survived by: his spouse Sandy; his brother-in-law Randy Jones; his daughter-in-law Courtney Sullivan; his son Adam Whitsitt (Christine) of Tulsa; his brother Mike Whitsitt of Lexington; and his grandchildren, Emmett, Ceci, Sawyer and Josie.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.
