He was predeceased by: his parents, Ali Hashemi and Zinat Hashemi (Tafreshi); and his brothers, Mehdi and Hadi Hashemi. He is survived by: his wife Jacqualin (Edwards); his children, Mitra, Josef and Samuel; his grandchildren, Melody, Mattias, Aria, Kai, Javon, Moriah and Malachi; and his siblings, Javad, Hamid and Shahin Hashemi. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family is working to set up a scholarship fund at Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas.
