It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Buford Spain (Okemah, Oklahoma), born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, who passed away on June 14, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Spain and Lucie Spain (Qualls) of Tennessee; his children, Amos Spain, Bobby Spain and Brenda Dennis; and his siblings, Clara Viola Jones, Clora M. Fisher, Lora Lucille Fisher, John Spain, James Henry Spain, Chester Franklin Spain and Luther Benjamin Spain.
He is survived by: his wife Alvena; his sons, Gary Spain (Tommy Waller) and Raymond Spain of Okemah; his granddaughter Pamela Simmons (Dean) of Okemah; his brother Kenneth Spain of Okemah; and also Bernice Lanier (Clyde) of Okemah, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
