He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Flowers and Verlie G. Flowers (Sliger); his daughter Carla Renee Flowers; his brother Arley Joe Flowers; and his great grandchild Isaac Cetina.

He is survived by: his wife Carlis Raye Flowers; and his children, James Flower III (Robin Flowers) of Okemah and Regina Riggin (Bruce).
