She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Nelson Shatwell and Virginia Louise Shatwell (Fisher); her sister Carol; and her nephew Steven Knebel. She is survived by: her daughters, Katrina Owens of Tulsa, Kristie Nambiar (Nidhin) of Kansas City and Kelly Herndon (Michael) of Okemah; her siblings, David Shatwell (Dorinda) of Okemah and Anita Knebel (Michael) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and her brother-in-law Richard Privitt of Tulsa. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
