He was predeceased by : his son Ascencion Alvarez Jr.; and his parents, Juan Alvarez (Father) and Andrea Salazar (Mother). He is survived by : his wife Herminia Alvarez; and his children, Juan Alvarez, Herminia Castillo, Santa Garcia, Leticia Estrada, Gloria Molina, Gabriel Alvarez, Alejandro Alvarez, Maria Rodriguez, Gerardo Alvarez and Joe Alvarez. He is also survived by Two brothers and 35 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home (500 SW 104th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73170). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
