He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Freeman and Ollie Pearl Cordell; and his siblings, Edna Dahl, Jess Cordell, Sam Cordell and Dean Cordell.

He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Cordell; his children, Ronnie Cordell, Jeff Cordell, Jennifer and Tony Riddles; his grandchildren, Michael Cordell, Daniel Cordell, Emily Cordell, Alyssa Cordell and Taylor Riddles; and his brother Andy Cordell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
