With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward John Bolka (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edward John Bolka to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Lillian. He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his children, Debra Bolka of Oklahoma City, Michael Bolka (Lori) of Edmond, Richard Bolka (Johna) of Dallas, TX, Susie Rischard (Denis) of Oklahoma City and Patricia; his granddaughters, Katie Bolka and Lucy Rischard; his sister Lois McCabe; and his brother-in-law Jack McCabe. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren: 10 great grandchildren: nieces, nephews.
A prayer will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Smith & Kernke Funeral Homes & Crematory (14624 N May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73134). A Mass will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Eugene Catholic Church (2400 W Hefner Rd, The Village, OK 73120).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mercy Foundation and to St. Eugene Catholic Church in Ed's honor.
