He was predeceased by: his parents, Sprague Bowersox and Helen Bowersox; his wife Shirley Jean Houston; his siblings, Norman Bowersox and Faye Soster; and his children, Michael Bowersox, Kimberly Dawn Bowersox and Georgia Lynn Triplett.
He is survived by: his sister Joyce Jost; his children, Monica Miller (Don), Mark Bowersox (Donald) and Helen Bowersox; his grandchildren, Tim Legg (Vicki), Michelle Abrahamson (Tim), Samantha Tostenson (John), Sabrina Einwechter (Tim), Joseph Bowersox (Amber) and Zachary Bowersox (Melissa); his daughter-in-law Lindsay Bowersox; and his great grandchildren, Taylor Tostenson, Will Tostenson (Lydia), Katherine Bowersox, Xander Bowersox, Nikolas Bowersox, Kimberly Bowersox, Jaxon Bowersox, Kahlan Bowersox, Carter Einwechter and Ella Einwechter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Mercy Hospice in George's memory.
