She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Hicks and Nancy Hicks; her former husband Harold Spurgeon; her siblings, Kenneth Hicks (Donna), Betty and Darlene Hicks; her children, Diane Ferguson and Steve Spurgeon; her son-in-law Steve Isley; and her grandson Jay Isley.
She is survived by: her husband Leroy Canning; her siblings, Roselle (Arnold Herrmann) and Carol (Ron Murray); her son Gerald Spurgeon (Cindi); her children-in-law, Glena Spurgeon and Kevin Ferguson; and her stepdaughters, Beth Davidson, Robin Greenlee and Tina (Jay Fogle). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
