He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Cole and Essie Cole; his son Gary; and his siblings, Eloise Grizzard, Reba Parrish, Virginia Goodin, Woodrow, Tommy, Kile, Nile and L. C. Max.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his daughters, Tammy Whitson (Brent) and Mandy Ever Bloom; his daughter-in-law Angie Cole; and his stepchildren, Reverend H. Gene Allen (Maria) and Kim Patterson. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and their spouses, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
