He was predeceased by: his wife Lou Anne; his brother Bobby Armstrong; and his parents, Robert Armstrong and Ruth Armstrong (Pruitt). He is survived by: his children, James Herndon, Brian Herndon, Tiffney Napoli and Melanie Walters. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren.
