It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Sammie Ruth Harris (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), who passed away at the age of 96, on April 9, 2024. She was predeceased by : her father Fred Phillips; her husband Jim; her sister Virginia; and her brother-in-law Bill Carter. She is survived by : her daughter Lauranne Harris; her nephews, Freddie (Patricia), Joe Bill (Sharon) and Brad Carter (Vicky); and her niece Darla Berry (Ricky).

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Luke's Methodist Church (222 NW 15th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73103). There she and Jim helped start the Insight class which she continued to attend even by zoom during the pandemic.

She designated memorials to Circle of Care, Skyline Urban Ministry or St. Luke's Russia Ministry.
