William Dow Gumerson Jr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 26, 2020, at the age of 76, William Dow Gumerson Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Dow Gumerson Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Dianne Gumm; his parents, William Dow Gumerson and Jean Gilderhus Gumerson; and his brother Jon David Gumerson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his daughter Kristen Gumerson Bohanon; his sons-in-law, David Bohanon of Oklahoma City and Brooks Altshuler of Oklahoma City; his son William Dow Gumerson III; his daughter-in-law Katie Schoenfelder Gumerson of Jamestown; his grandchildren, Lauren Flanagan Gaffney of St. Paul and Katherine Flanagan of Oklahoma City; his brother Ted Lee Gumerson (Cheryl) of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Luther Andrew, Dianne Elaine Bohanon, William Geoffrey, Evelyn Dianne Altshuler, Maxwell Dow, Georgia Dianne Gumerson, Frances Maryrose Gaffney and Vivienne Skye Flanagan; and also, Jon Blaschke, MD and Shea Weir, RN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and their children.

The family wishes to thank all of the frontline medical workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic, and a very special thank you to extended family Jon Blaschke, MD, and Shea Weir, RN.
