He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett York and Era Roxie Willis York; and his sisters, Jessie Earl York, Dora Alice Daiker, Nova Dimples Ivy and Dorothy Carmen Etchison.
He is survived by: his wife Geleeta York; his daughter Missy Tomlinson; his son-in-law Chris Tomlinson; and his grandson Cory Tomlinson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
