He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Herell and Orpha Herell (Newman); and his brother-in-law Darrel Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Audrey; his sons, Jerry Herell (Genna) of Ardmore and Brian Herell; his friend Daria of Lone Grove; his daughter Kelly Aaron (Paul) of Sulphur; his grandchildren, Jerry Don Herell, Jr., Kendra, Jeremy Wilkins, Josh Wilkins, Cara, Howard Aaron, Jackie, Joe Herell, Heather, Jordan Herell, Jamison Herell and Brilee Herell; and his sister Linda Hayes. He is also survived by several brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
