He is survived by: his parents, Della Neal Parten (Craddock) and Thomas Newton Parten; his wife Vinita Pearl Parten; his children, Donna Rice of DeRidder, Louisiana and Steven Parten of Pauls Valley; his grandchildren, Andrea Barkley (Ben), Regan Blais (Greg), Savannah Blaze, Kathleen, Kelsie, Tyler, Miranda, Mma, Marlee, Marcee and Aleia; his great great grandchild Adalae; and his sister Lavone Oden of Shreveport.
