Wilma Claxton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma Claxton (Pauls Valley, Oklahoma), born in Okemah, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 12, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Pitts and Emma Pitts (Carroll); her husband A. B. Claxton, Jr.; and her siblings, Fred, Ernie, Bob Pitts, Gladys Jackson, Mae Tyson, Nora Roseberry, Lee Powers and Lavada Love.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Claxton of Kansas City, Missouri and Sharon Chaufty (Bill) of Stillwater, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, April Lai (Joe), Cory Sullivan, Gregg Grounds (Jennifer) and Dylan Chaufty (Brooke); and her great grandchildren, Mia Sullivan, Cooper Lai, Olivia Lai, Fisher Lai, Whit Lai, Bo Grounds, Levi Grounds, Cash Martin and Stella Chaufty. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
This request is to honor and benefit the many caregivers that worked tirelessly to help Wilma for 25 days. ** Due to current Covid-19, (stay in place), guideline, there will not be a formal service.
