He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy A. Souders and Fannie F. Souders (Shipp); his former wife Sharon E. Townsend; his siblings, Roy Souders, Jr., Robert Souders and Oleta Salek; and his granddaughter Jordan E. Souders.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Edwards; his children, Richard Souders, Jr. (Melissa), Jeff Souders (Lana) and Michele Haynes (Chris); and his stepsons, Jim Edwards (Brit) of Terrell, TX, Mike Edwards of Fort Worth, TX, Jeff Edwards of Kaufield, TX and Bill Edwards of Durham, NC.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons.
