It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Edgmon (Seminole, Oklahoma), born in Okemah, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 16, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Charlie Guthrie and Nora Guthrie; her brother Woody Guthrie; her son Hugh (Susan) of Scottsdale, Arizona; her grandchildren, Chris (Angela) of Scottsdale, Arizona and Christy Martin; and her great grandchildren, Cade and Campbell Martin of Frisco, Texas. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the Woody Guthrie Festival Coalition, P.O. Box 661, Okemah, OK 74859.
