It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maura Pinero Peterson of Shawnee, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 2, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Stephen Peterson of Shawnee; her former spouse Sarah Warren-Peterson; and her sisters, Candelaria Ligon of Dumaguete City, Philippines and Theresa Dizon Smith (Tony Smith) of Algood, Tennessee.. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She continued her higher education at Foundation University, Dumaguete City graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education.
