He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Nix and Stella Nix; his great grandchild Daxx; his brothers, Aaron, Carl Ed, Ben and Roy; and also Nell.

He is survived by : his close friend Jerry Geiger; his husband Jerry; his children, Sherri Baker (James) and Dr. Michael Geiger (Shaun); his grandson Matt Johnson (Kristen); his great grandchildren, Kameron, Kimber, Dallas Baker and Alecia; his granddaughter Jamie Yarbrough; his daughters, Neeli, Leela and Ashlee Tollison (Randy); his grandchildren, Aiden, Karter, Jax, Krysta Baker and Darah Lang (Josh); his great grandchildren, Oliver and Maddie Rhodes (Blake); his siblings, Roger Nix (Loretta), Ruby Stoops and Betty Edwards; and also, Cara, Emily, Dr. Bryce Geiger (Sophia), Kasen, Kate, Dr. Seth Geiger (Madison), Hayden, Harper, Trevor Geiger (Samantha), Eric, Ezra, Wyatt Johnson and Daniel Valderas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Snyder to build a playground for the children.
