She was predeceased by : her parents, Margaret Johnson and Cyrus Johnson; her husband Hack Watts August; her daughter Melissa Watts; her grandson JoJo Talley; her son-in-law Billy Hedrick; and her close friend Royce Wisener.

She is survived by : her daughters, Gail Earthman (Mark), Peggy Hedrick and Barbara Talley (Don); and her siblings, Christine Hurlburt Van Buren (Johnny) and Clyde Johnson (Janie) of Rattan. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren in addition to several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
