He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling Eugene Steward and Mary Audley O'Flynn; and his siblings, Anne Ritter and David Steward. He is survived by: his wife Paula Sue Steward; his children, James P. Steward Jr., Jaymie Gagne (Phillip Gagne) and Kevin Campbell (Courtnee Campbell); his grandchildren, Amelia Steward, Abigail Steward, Gage Campbell and Ian Campbell; his brother John Steward; and his nephew Scott.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dighton Marler Funeral Home (5106 N Washington St, Stillwater, OK 74075). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fairlawn Cemetery (1123 E 6th Ave, Stillwater, OK 74074).
