She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Hemmerly and Vanetta Hemmerly; her husband E. C. Nelson; and her siblings, Bernece Getz, Effie Thiel, Dorothy Cornely, Ann Rush, Arlene Crooks and Paul.
She is survived by: her former husband Eldon C. Nelson; her daughters, Laura Nelson of Lewisville, TX and Julie Kunzelmann of Phoenix, AZ; and her grandchildren, Lindsey Roberts of Denton, TX, Carrie Roberts of Dallas, TX, Alexandra (Lexie) and John Kunzelmann of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
