It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaVernne Elizabeth Nichols (Davis, Oklahoma), born in Wewoka, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 5, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Davis and Frances Harriett "Hattie" Chilcoat (Duckworth); her daughter Debbie Nichols Morales; and her siblings, Warren Chilcoat, Mae Isbell, Eva Scott, Velma Boyles, Orena Chilcoat, Jimmy Chilcoat and Don Chilcoat.

She is survived by: her daughter Laurie Nichols (James) of Sulphur; her granddaughter Lidia Cox (Ben) of Norman; and her great grandchildren, Rowan Williams and Wyatt Cox. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
