It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Hayes of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, born in Centralia, Washington, who passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Sherman Shaffer and Reta Johnson Shaffer; her husband L. D. Hayes; her son Arthur Lee Hayes (Bill Hayes); and her sisters, Doris and Lucille.

She is survived by : her son Sherman Hayes (Zelma); her grandchildren, Amy Beth Orrison (Matthew) and Jon Michael Hayes; her stepgrandchildren, David B. Bailey, Jr., Leslie Maker and Neisha Wilson; her great grandchildren, Coty Jon Hayes, Conner James Hayes and Dylan Orrison; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Jace Maker and Caden Wilson.
