He was predeceased by: his parents, A. D. Witherington and Steena Warner Witherington. He is survived by: his son David Witherington (Holli) of Ada, Oklahoma; his brothers, Phillip Witherington (Maha) of Bryant and Warner Witherington of Lake Charles, Louisiana; his nieces, Kanzy and Sherwet; and his nephew Joseph.
