It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Willliam Shawnee of Tulsa, Oklahoma, born in Claremore, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 5, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shawnee and Mary Shawnee (Shapp); his siblings, Jerome Shawnee Sr., Mary Jennings, Christine Pettit (Boots), Pauline Shawnee, Billie Atkins and Ona Mae Harjo; and his daughter Linda Shawnee.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Ann Shawnee; and his children, Donna Shawnee-Gibson, Anthony Shawnee (Gina) and Billy Shawnee (Tierney). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
