He was predeceased by: his parents, Marty Martinez and Dora Avila; his sister Maxine Moncada; his niece Ann Lucero; and his nephew Jay Lucero.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jeannie Lucero of Albuquerque, NM, Margo Elaine Jenson, Valerie Martinez Galan of San Antonio, TX, Albert Avila of Alamogordo, NM and Darrel Mark Martinez of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
