He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig Herman Helling and JoHanna Gerdes Helling; and his sister Dorothy (Kai LaRue Helling). He is survived by: his significant other Kai; his children, Duane Randall Helling (Barbara) of Inola, OK, Scott Helling (Christine) of Pembroke Pines, Florida and Tammy Helling (Bill Richardson) of Tulsa, OK.; his grandchildren, Chris Helling (Lindsey), Sophie, Mercy, Noah Helling of Jones, OK, TJ Helling (Polly) and Anna Jo; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Isabelle, Titus Helling of Inola, OK, Jerod Helling (Emily), Evelyn Helling of Ponca City, OK, Greg Helling (Jenna), Nora, Jack Helling of Edmond, OK, Stephanie Ellis (Paul), Charlotte Ellis of Tigard, Oregon and Rebecca Gudz (Cullen) of Panama City, Florida.; and his sister Donna Fritz of Fort Wayne, Indiana.. He is also survived by relatives, friends, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Throughout much of his adult life, Duane donated blood and undoubtedly saved countless lives with his donations.
