He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Reed and Faye Reed (Coleman); his wife Linda; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn and James Weaver.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Pritchett (Johnny) of Salina, Oklahoma and James Reed of Salina, Oklahoma; his grandsons, Brian Pritchett of Salina, Oklahoma, Michael Reed of Salina, Oklahoma, James Reed, Jr. of Bixby, Oklahoma and Jeff Pritchett (Makayla) of Salina, Oklahoma; his great grandchildren, David Reed of Salina, Alan Reed of Salina and Brantley Pritchett of Salina, Oklahoma; his siblings, Rev. Thomas Reed of Basehor and Jeanne Medeiros (Brian) of Basehor, Kansas; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Hendren (Margaret) of Sante Fe and Dr. Glen Hendren (Marcia) of Canton, Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
