He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Payton and Bessie Pearl Tubbs (Marchbanks); his former wife Geneva Mae Tubbs (Gaston); his wife Geneva "Ginny"; his daughter Barbara Key; and his brothers, Billy Tubbs and Harold Tubbs.
He is survived by: his son Larry Tubbs (Mary) of Broken Arrow; his grandchildren, Stephanie Yelverton (Justin) of Southhaven and Chris Tubbs (Amanda Klinger) of Norman; and his great grandchildren, Paige, Payton Yelverton and Victoria Klinger. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews, and other family members.
