It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Lee Rippetoe (Tulsa, Oklahoma), who passed away on November 26, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rose Lee and David Orval Rippetoe; his wife Helen Hembree; his daughter Melody; his siblings, Patsy, Burt and Lawrence; his grandson Eric Dingman; his great grandchild Jennifer Crawford; his daughter Joy Longmire (Mike); his sisters, Doris Adair and Gerry White; and his granddaughters, Shirley Hilles and Susan Keller. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.
He volunteered for about 25 years, and was doing so when he had to stop due to Covid.
Melvin and Helen always contributed to the Salvation Army this time of year, so a donation in their name would be a lovely gesture.
