He was predeceased by: his father James Bankston; and his grandparents, Reverend Aaron, Dorothy Walker, Toby and Mary Bankston.

He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Bankston (Walker); his brothers, Aaron Bankston and Reverend Dan; and his siblings' children, Ryan (Andrea Bankston), Rylee (Allie), Jenna (Aaron Dye), Cooper (Carter), Rachel (Bobby Golden) and Cole (Zoey).
