He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe and Tilda Ann Mae Herndon (Pruitt); his wife Sharlene Faye Herndon (Sanders); and his son Dean Allen Herndon. He is survived by: his children, Rex Herndon, Anita Herndon, Trina Mason, Kenneth Herndon and Eric Herndon; and his sister Lena Henderson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
