He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlay Speakman and Darlene Speakman; his daughter Amanda Speakman; and his brother Steve. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Gilbreath; his sisters, Joanne and Joyce; his children, Nicholas Speakman and Melissa Speakman; his stepdaughters, Emily Graham and Amanda Owens; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Kael Speakman, Zachary, Haley Speakman, Noah and Owens.

Donations may be made in his honor to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma or St Jude Children's Hospital.
