It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Deason of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 8, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Calvin Deason and Lois Exine Berkley Deason; his son Delmar Vernon 'J. R.' Deason Jr.; and his siblings, Freda Shirley Deason, Ethelene Phelps, Bettye Hess, Calvin Deason, Bruce Deason, Roy, Ray Deason and Raymond Deason.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita; his daughters, Barbara Corter (Steve) of Edmond, Freda Sweatt of Edmond and Jannifer Robinson of Wagoner; his siblings, Garry Deason of Tulsa Ok, Buel Deason (Sandy) of Tulsa Ok, Nettie Hoffman (Vernon) of Collinsville Ok, Beverly Rogers of Tulsa Ok and Kathy Brown (David) of Tulsa Ok; and his stepchildren, Vickie Bishop Gowdy (Barry) of Sapulpa, Jimmie Bishop Jr. of Kellyville and Gary Don Bishop (Marianne) of Kellyville. He is also survived by 9 step grandchildren and 14 great step grandchildren.
