He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Thompson and Helen Thompson (Jenkins); and his sister Nancy Simmons. He is survived by: his pet Zak; his wife Charlene; his daughter Renee Carter (Joel) of Baton Rouge, LA; and his grandchildren, Lily Carter, Noah and Eli Carter.
