He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Weiss (Sands); his children, Tim Sands of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Cheryl Johnson of Frederick Town and Kim Douglas (Michael Lee) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his sister Kathy Lange of Park Hills, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Tiesha Douglas, Morandah Destouche, Addyson "Addi" Sands, Emalee Douglas, Andrew Sands, Logan Sands, Sabetha Sands, Brandon Sands and Ethan Johnson. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
