He is survived by: his former wife Libby Davis; his wife Elenita Slate; his children, Gove Dee Slate of Paris, Marion Basil Slate III of Washington, Raymond Lacson (Teresa) of Las Vegas, NV and Myra Slate Arazo (Mark) of Manila, Philippines; his sister Ellon Shuttleworth; his grandchildren, Sean Slate (Dee Dee) of Leesville, LA, Joshua Slate Sr. of Washington, OK and Hazael Nicole Lacson; and his great grandchildren, Kiara and Jacob.
