She was predeceased by : her parents, William Mygrant and Bertha Mygrant (Mason); her brother Billy Mygrant; and her aunt Thelma Harmon. She is survived by : her husband Claude Powell of Enid; her children, Claude Powell, Jr. (Sharon) of Shawnee, KS and Kristi Matal (Conte) of Enid; and her grandsons, Mitchell, Lucas and Tyler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shirley's name may be made to The Enid SPCA or St. Jude Children's Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
