With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vonnie Kay Schmidt of Weatherford, Oklahoma, born in Columbia, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, we take solace in the memories we hold dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Vonnie Kay may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Carolyn Coy (Mueller) and Ralph E. Coy; her brother Chad Coy; and her brother-in-law Troy Schmidt. She is survived by : her husband Rick Schmidt; her children, Mindy Evetts (Brandon) of Cordell, Oklahoma and Brennan Schmidt (Carrie) of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and her grandchildren, Braylie, Peyton Schmidt, Carter, Addalie and Langley Evetts. She is also survived by many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

A memorial service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Pine Acres Church (1321 Lark Rd, Weatherford, OK 73096).
