He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Wood and Georgia Wood; his wife Geneva; his siblings, Robert, Ross, Inez Carter and Juanita Edmiston; his son-in-law Donn Fitch; and his grandson-in-law Doug Ellis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Fitch, Carol Gipson and Patricia Titus; and his grandchildren, Melanie Ellis, Lori McMillan, Gina Mardis, Rachael Thrailkill, Lance Gipson and Bobby Adcox. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
