He is survived by : his wife Patricia VanDorn Lawson; his children, Kimber, Geno Reddick, Bret, Julie Lawson, Eleanor, Ben and McKenna; his brother-in-law Dr. B. D. Van Dorn; and his nieces and nephews, Derek VanDorn, Brendan VanDorn, Lezlie Stout, Mindy Stout and Robbie Stout.
